There was a storm tonight.
A terrific thunderstorm collapsed tonight
On the roof of my little home.
I was cleaning, polishing,
Staring out of the wide open window,
Not paying much attention
To the lightening sheets.
It was this loud once,
In my last abode,
With the blinds in tatters,
Smashing against the frame.
We had allowed the storm in,
As we both liked his company.
He liked watching us,
I think,
As he stayed
For those incredible 60 minutes.
